So here it is! The first ever Ruach Road Session! We thought we would start it off with a bang with a band that you should recognise.
But first let's chat about what they have got up to since starting their career.
In 1997 four guys got together in Lombard, Illinois and decided to start a pop punk band; High school friends Tom Higgenson, Dave Tirio, Ken Fletcher and Steve Mast (later joined by percussionist De’Mar Hamilton). In their early days the group played in basements, bars and clubs in Chicago and began to obtain quite a following.
The band is best known across the world for their number-one hit song released in 2007, "Hey There Delilah.” This track achieved platinum status and then went onto earn two Grammy nominations. There was no looking back for the Lombard based boys as their tracks "1234" and "Rhythm of Love" were also certified platinum in 2009 and 2011.
I’m sure you have already guessed it, our opening Ruach Road Session is with the Plain White T’s, performing their newest single, “Pause.” Recorded on the top deck of a boat, sailing down the Colarado River in Downtown Austin, Texas. Enjoy!
